MASTERS END OF SEASON UPDATE

2021-22

The last 6 months seem to have flown by, it’s hard to believe we had our last meet of the season on Saturday.

Despite the continuing frustrations covid has placed upon us all this year, we have managed to keep going with only a couple of days missed from our card. We also enjoyed a day with our hounds in Llangeinor and one with the Curre and Llangibby, which was very well-supported by our members.

It’s been a real learning curve for our new Mastership, but we hope you have enjoyed your season as much as we have.

We have so many people to thank, not least our landowners and farmers to whom we are extremely grateful, we are so very dependent upon their continued support.

We would also like to thank Simon and our hounds for giving us some good sport and great days trail-hunting. As Glamorgan got wetter hounds went better! All our young hounds entered well, we know Simon is looking forward to working with them in the forthcoming season.

Thank you also to his partner Rebecca and all those who have supported Simon and the Mastership this season, whips, trail layers and country men and women, we could not manage without you.

On 1st May we are looking forward to welcoming our new whip/kennel/countryman Jack to the team. Jack joins us from the Hursley Hambleton Hunt, where he has been Whip/kennel man for the last two seasons.

A big thank you also our Chairman, committee members and all those involved in fundraising be it the Point to point or one of the many events we hold throughout the year, there is so much hard work that goes on behind the scenes, it is really appreciated.  There are lots more events planned for the Spring and Summer to bring us together.

We will let you know as soon as we can when we plan to hold our Puppy show this year. We also hope to hold a day at the kennels for the local pony clubs, unfortunately covid forced us to cancel the last one, but let’s hope that’s all behind us now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone across the Spring and Summer.

TUMBLERS CLUB - WALES AIR AMBULANCE

Thank You Letter 18.03.2021

Every year Glamorgan Hunt collects money from tumblers out in the field. Each year as a rider has an unauthorised dismount we ask they pay £5 for the privilege.

All the money is collected and donated to the Wales Air Ambulance, who will always be there in our hour of need.

In this short season (due to COVID restrictions) we combined last season and this seasons donations which raised £175.
